The significance is thatMontag is finally changing.

The show kills an innocent man because they dont want to admit they lost Montag.6. What does Granger mean when he says, "We made the right kind of mistakes."
Like Montag killing Beatty to save himself and Mr.Faber that was  a mistake but it was a right kind of mistake. He means that a mistake is ok if its to get or prove in what you believe.
